Fine example of a medieval barn, tree-ring dated to the mid-15th century, with an eight bayed aisled interior and crown post roof. It is estimated that 400 oaks were used in its construction. The interior measures 40 metres by 13 metres and is 11 metres high.

The property is maintained by English Heritage. See above link for information on opening times. More information on its construction appears in this English Heritage leaflet.
