Findmypast have just announced a change to their offerings to UK family historians.
There are now three options: Starter, Plus and Pro. The big change is that Plus and Pro now allow access to the 1939 Register even on a monthly package.
In brief, these are the new options:
Starter package is aimed to help beginners on their family tree journey.
Includes census and BMD (birth, marriages and death) records, and includes full access to Findmypast’s family tree hinting system, allowing users to quickly trace their family’s story back to 1837. The package also includes Findmypast’s search functionality, support content, live chat and instant help – and all new subscribers will receive a free Getting Started guide.
Plus package includes the 1939 Register and all the essentials for the keen family tree researcher.
The Plus package is designed for those wanting to make their family tree more detailed. Beyond the 1939 Register, all parish, military, education, institutions and social history records as well as all electoral registers, directories, and travel and migration records are included.
Pro package for some serious genealogical research.
The Pro package includes access to the largest online collection of British and Irish newspapers in the world and to all of Findmypast’s global record sets. Great for research ancestors who migrated abroad.
